Overview

Bechtel is the EPC delivering engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the Wheatstone Project downstream scope of work for Chevron. The downstream scope includes engineering, procurement, and construction of two LNG production trains, a domestic natural gas processing plant, and condensate processing facilities with supporting utilities, product storage, a marine offloading facility, LNG and condensate marine loading facilities, general facilities, and other infrastructure.

Wheatstone Scope of Work

ISBL Modular Settings and Interconnection Scope of Work: In addition to Bechtel's EPC role, Bechtel is also undertaking the construction scope for the Inside Battery Limits (ISBL) modular setting and interconnections package. This scope includes materials, consumables, equipment, facilities, labor, supervision, transportation, construction facilities, temporary materials, and safety and quality programs for the installation of:

  • 12 gas turbines and associated refrigeration compressors and auxiliaries
  • 2 expander-driven generators
  • LNG production train modules
  • All stick-built structural steel, equipment and piping
  • 4 substations
  • Pressure testing of piping systems and all nondestructive examination and testing
  • Support of commissioning and start up activities

To complete this scope, Bechtel will direct-hire a range of personnel. Peak mobilisation is expected for June/July 2015 and Bechtel will require the following personnel:

  • Mechanical Fitters
  • Pipefitters
  • Welders Special Class
